Hi folks. I've searched through lots of posts for Crandall and have found bits and pieces and since Crandall is related to Case I thought I might get some answers here. If I've posted in the wrong area I apologize.
I found this beautiful Crandall with a broken blade. The bone is gorgeous and the blade is in great shape. My question is should I have someone add the rest of the blade that is broken or leave it? I have no idea of value either, I'm a semi-Case guy and Ka-bar and have an opportunity to trade it. Thanks for any information you can give me on this. The knife is 3" long.

First of all, if that's a real Crandall, it's a beautiful knife. Ultimately the decision on what to do is yours, but if it were mine, and since you asked, I'd leave it just like that. As long as the main blade functions properly, I'd keep it "as-is".
I have only one Crandall and it was made by Queen. Not nearly as old and good looking as yours. (Not my photos)

If it were mine I would not change a thing except for the blade edge and I would proudly pack it.

Thanks everyone for the input. The bone is gorgeous and would make a nice EDC. A fellow I know collects Crandall and he was interested in a trade but I can't find much as far as value for this/these.
