What is the Date of this Case Knife?

Postby Paladin » Mon Sep 09, 2019 1:40 am

Guys,
I have check all my references on this tang stamp and I cannot match it up.
At first, I thought it was a 1985 but checking it closer, it does not match up. It has the lightning 'S' but the placement of the dots does not match up. In comparing it to the illustrations of the 1997-1999 stamps, it has 5 dots and that is too many for that age group.
Anybody have any thoughts? ::shrug::

I have one of the Case XXChanger lockblades (with interchangeable blades) and the markings look similar to that. I think they used a different stamp than the other Case knives of the same year.

1995

That is called the "floating dots" stamp.

Used to collect Copperlocks early, we called them "random dots. Same time frame.
