2002 CASE XX 64052 SS CONGRESS RED XX ON HANDLE

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I suggest you e-mail those photos to "Shepherd Hills Cutlery". If anyone knows, they will. ::nod::

I sent them a message and they were unsure. They said it MAY be a Smokey Mountain Knife Work's Exclusive. But that is all the info I have. Do you have any other suggestions?

It looks like the bobwire series that Case made. If I get time today I have some Case Catalogs that may shed some light on this.

As far as I can tell doing a search, one guy calls it "Laser Cut "XX" Smooth Red Bone" and while another guy calls it "Red XX Jigged Bone" but neither have the box posted that the knife came in (it would be printed on the sticker on one end of the box). I hope this helps.

1967redrider, just lookin', I have to agree with the guy who said "Laser cut XX", jigging doesn't look like that at all. ::shrug::
joesskankshack, can you tell if it is bone or Delrin?

Pretty sure those were laser cut. When I toured the Case factory about 10 years they showed us the lasers and some templates of the intricate designs they could do. For example they can take submitted artwork and from it make a template to laser engrave the design into the handle covers. Putting “XX’s” on would be a snap.
