Case Bradford PA. Pearl
Would like other opinions of what everyone thinks about this Case Bradford PA. it's 2 5/8" which make me believe it to be a 8201 with a bale .
Thanks Gary

Might be an 82001TR. The 8201 had full bolsters in the Tested era at least. Sargent’s 7th edition shows a picture of a Tested 92001T, having tip bolsters. He lists an 82001 but no picture of it. My conclusion is the version with the extra zero is the tip bolster version. I could be wrong.
Also shows a picture of a 6201F with tip bolsters and a 3201 with shadow bolsters. It’s confusing!
In the Case Bradford section of the book, it shows a picture of a 6201R, having full bolsters.

Are both blades stamped?
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Normally on Bradford stamped knives I like to see both blades stamped. Don't know that the master only stamped makes it wrong but the second blade stamped would make me feel more comfortable. I believe Ken is correct that the 82001 would be a Tested knife with tip bolsters. Could be a late production Bradford knife.kennedy knives wrote:Wayne only the Master Blade is stampedbtrwtr wrote:Are both blades stamped?

Thanks Wayne just haven't been fortunate enough to have handled enough of this era in 49 years of collecting to be a judge on it., great little pearl.btrwtr wrote:Normally on Bradford stamped knives I like to see both blades stamped.
