Case Knives Roll Case

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Anybody have any knowledge as to whether Case made their own Roll Case? I have one with case logo but can't find any info on it. Thanks

The original knife rolls were made for and used by salesmen to carry samples, in the days before knife collecting became a hobby. Case had them made with their logo and provided them to their salesmen. By definition a limited number of those were made and few of them have survived. After the advent of collecting they were mass produced and sold to collectors for knife storage and transport. I recall seeing a multitude of them marked with the Case logo for sale several years ago at Shepherd Hills Cutlery.
