Case 6244

Post by XxBubbaXx »

Is there anyone out there that could refurb this knife, as you can see the clip blade was sharpened, not by me! on both the cutting edge and the top of the blade. What fool would do this?? The pen blade has something on it too. anyone out there have these blades or could polish them up or something to make it look better. I really love this knife but am sick that it is in the shape it's in.
It's a 2 dot 6244 Medium Stockman. The shiny areas on the edges are not the flash of my cam, it's the way some idiot tried to sharpen it.

Bubba, if the person before you did not tapper the top of the blades to much you could work it down with emery paper. Start with 220 grit and work down to 800 or 1000 grit. I don't like to remove blade material but you don't have much choice. Work it flat and re-sharpen.

I could probably do the work, what they have done is laid it flat on the stone, alot of old timers do this, and since case did a light hollow grind on those blades during that time the stone touched the spine and edge, but not the center of the blade. Your best bet would be to flatgrind them, and polish, then sharpen correctly.
