1986 Case W6215 Pattern Made by Case?
1986 Case W6215 Pattern Made by Case?
Hi! My first time posting but found this guy in a leather shop and was trying to find more info. I know it's a 1986 Gunstock with white bone handles and two blades. I posted in another forum and they directed me to you all. Seems you are all the Case experts!!! I saw in another forum that in 1986 Case actually had Frost or another manufacturer make some of their knives. I went through my Collecting Case knives book and they do not have the 15 Pattern listed for that year. Any clues?

The tang stamp would be correct for that year and it being a SS. I find the 6215 listed in the Tested era listings, high dollar puppies there! Hang in there, some of the knowledgeable fellers will come by sooner or later and explain what going on with your Case.

Thanks for the welcome! Regardless if it is made by Frost or Case, I love this little knife. The white bone is transparent at the ends, giving it beautiful depth. I love that it has half stops and the fit and finish is amazing!! If it wasn't Case, whichever manufacturer made it did an excellent job. It's as good as my GEC! I'm now looking at purchasing a Bose Case collaborative knife or had my eye on a Ivy Bermuda Case knife. My ZT knives and Spydies are starting to gather dust!

Thank you for the reply. I read that post but Case never confirmed if they were the makers. Strangely enough I did find the knife on eBay as 1 of 50 made for the Rocky Mountain Knife Club. The photo they have is exactly like mine without the bolster number or the black etch stating Rocky Mountain Knife Club 1 of 50. The etching in the eBay photo looks surprisingly fresh.
