where to buy new case classics

http://www.bluegrassmountainknives.com still has the new classics listed. That is about the only ones that I can find outside of eBay.

Bill & other friends,

My good friend Terry is talking about the difference in quality here, when you compare a true Case Classic made from 1990 to 1998 to these newly made knives by W.R. Case & Sons, its just no contest between the two! ....On the newer knives the blades, back springs, & handle scales are much thinner than any of the true Case Classic knives that were produced by Jim Parker in the 90's, a few other things to mention about these newer knives by Case is that the shields are glued on & not pinned to the frames & the scrolling on the bolsters is rough if you ask me! ....There are only two reasons why these newer Case knives may gain a spot as a collectible in the hobby friends, the main blade etch & their low run amounts, it will not be determined by their quality in my eyes!

Roger, the things you have said about the new classics are true, but I would also like to point out as we all know, the shields are glue on on all new caseknives and have been for over 20 years. Also as we all know the old case classics were made almost exclusively by queen which in my opinion has made a more quality product than Case in my opinion since 1980.

I don't know if you all watch eBay like I do (daily) but, I can't believe how much these Toes are going for. I'm fixin to sell!..................Not really but I sure am tempted. Hope they don't tank like the housing market has, but then again there were only so many made.

I'M not sure who owns the Case Classic Tang Stamps now, we all know Jim used too but right now? I'M pretty sure Perry would know & if he dosn't he sure could find out ....I wonder what Buzz would give me for my 197 piece collection (Elephant Toes only) ifin I was to sell it to Parker's?

This knife site/seller is using misleading titles to draw in potential buyers, I do not see any Case Classic knife patterns here???

wow roger, no blade etch. did'nt notice. most i have seen were etched. sorry about that. they are not classics, they are "vintage pattern" knives. very expensive jewelry.

Hey Roger,

I'll keep asking around about the tang stamps; maybe I'll get an honest answer from someone.

As for the toenails, 197 let's see, depending on what they are one could probably payoff a nice home! Buzz will consign them for a small percentage, but before you do anything like that, you have my number!
