I lost all control last month!

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I lost all control last month!

Post by Dino_J »

Hey Guys. I have been thinking that I wish there were more posts on the Case page. Then it occurred to me that I need to start helping. Today I made a light box so I can finally get some decent pictures. I will work on the lighting some more tomorrow but I am pleased with the results so far. I collect older Case knives as they cross my path. So it is kind of hit and miss until this past month. It got way out of hand for me! I travel for work so these knives are from several states. The 6345 came from the Hillsville, VA gun show and the dark 6207 came from Reddirt right here in OK.

Nice pile Dean ::tu:: And it's about time you became a bit more active on the forums. I'm really liking that red bone 07 ::nod:: that's about as good as it gets. What year? Your pic came out good too. Give me a holler sometime.

Thank you all. The 6380 is a 7 dot and the red 6207 is a USA. I hope to add to the extinct post today and a heartbreaker in the counterfeit thread. Dana, I will be looking for you next weekend.

Thanks Jethro. the more i look at it, the greener it gets. Here are some more shots of it. I am still having some issues with the lighting. The XX is very clear on the knife but not so in the pictures.

Hey Dino,

Nice collection you have going there. Sweet knives!

What year is the 6207 on the top right. My guess is 78' to 81'. My more pinpointed guess is 1980'. Could be way off but interested to know.

Would like to see some pic of the USA 6207 also.

You are doing fine with your pickups my friend.

Regards, Jerry

You are dead on, 1978 for the dark 6207! I tend to like those later dark 70's. Much better prices too. Below are pics of the USA. I do have a question on this knife. It certainly looks unused however that the circle on the shield has been smoothed down. Could this be factory or did someone buff it out?
