Is this a good deal of Remingtons?
I was going to purchase this set of Remington's off Ebay and thought I would get a few opinions from the experts! The buyer states that these are made in the USA. Can anybody tell by looking at them if they are the real deal, or a good deal in general!! Thank you all in advance!!

Sorry for the poor English on the title! It should say ON Remington's, not of Remington's...;(. I also do not know how my post was duplicated???mikekoz wrote:I was going to purchase this set of Remington's off Ebay and thought I would get a few opinions from the experts! Hi mikekoz,
What do you mean by the "Real Deal?"
Remington hasn't made any knives since the 1940s...so they aren't the real deal.
Most modern Remingtons were made by Camillus.
Some may have been made recently by United (Arrowhead), as well...so these could be a factory/distributor dump of merchandise after United's Chapter 11.
Or, still possibly made offshore, if the seller isn't being square.
Not likely to go up much in value...IMO. Could be ok users.
Bill
EDITED: For clarity.

If there actually made in the US, I'll buy a set or 2. Its hard for me to believe that 3 US made knives of any brand are selling for $40 ......If they are the Remingtons that are made by Camillus I will definitely buy a set. Thats a swinging deal.
PS,theres a new line of Remingtons made in Italy also.

I asked the seller to look on the blades and he again told me they were made in the USA! He stated that was on the kniives and the box! I have purchased a set from him and will post photos of the knives when they arrive. I will be the groups guinea pig on these!!...johnnierotten wrote:If there actually made in the US, I'll buy a set or 2. They look great to me.
I found the 2 blade for $50,the single blade for $29.I couldn't find the 3 Blade stockman anywhere, but my guess would be somewhere around $40 ....You got approx.$120 worth of knives for $50....you did good!!
I saved his ebay ID,I think I will see if he will cut me a deal on a couple of these sets. Thanks Bro

Great find...
Looks like a distributor dump of otherwise nice product. Maybe the newer knives from Arrowhead/United?
