22055 cigar jack, got one?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I've got one. Just one. It isn't mint and I don't think it's quite old enough to be the XX Era (I'm out of town & can't look at it right now). But I think it's a law that you have to own at least one to be a certified Case Collector.

I have two, one with regular pull and one with the rarer long pull.

I have this 22055 (top pic) and this 62055 (bottom pic) My pics are pretty bad but both are in mint to near mint condition. The 055 is one of my favorite Case patterns. Wish I had more.

Hi new here Cigar question.

Post by mickeyblueyes »

I have taken a liking to Cigar whittlers, there is a refreshed style out with each one limited to 100 pieces. Some are selling for $249 for the periwinkle to $89 for some other colors, Is $89 kinda cheap for a limited 100 series run that is numbered ? Can a veteran collector explain it to me. Thanks and thanks for the friendly board. MD.

Hey guys thanks for the inspiring pics. Just bought another jack in better shape than my first. Which one would be older? One has a little smaller case xx stamp on the tang, the one with the small stamp is a little deeper also. The 22055 are virtually the same stamp, their is also a little differance in the stamp on the shields one being smaller than the other. My thoughts were that maybe the lighter stamped knife may be the oldest of the two. Thanks again for any info.

Welcome to the forum neil!

Depends on condition and if it has a long pull or not, etc. Please post some pictures if you want more help. Can't do much more without that.
