JB,
Your knife is not a 225Q.
It is Catt`s top quality hunting knife line. They also made a hatchet.
If your pommel nut is loose you will need a special tool to tighten it, otherwise it will strip. If you are handy you can easily make one, like I did.

Re: Catt 225Q
If it is like I think it is, get a decent flat blade screw driver and file a notch in the middle of the tip that will straddle the tang bolt. Cut the notch pretty close to the diameter of the tang bolt and make sure the blade will fit ALL the way down into the slots either side of that tang screw/bolt. Might be a good idea to get a screw diver with a tip a bit wider than the nut you'll be turning and file it down to fit as close as you can. You need all the bearing surface you can get. Give her a twist but don't get rude with it. That nut you're turning is brass and will shell out if you twist on it too hard.

Re: Catt 225Q
The tool is called a pin spanner and they are commercially available but there are so many sizes and styles(flat pin;round pin)that it is just as easy to fabricate one.A screwdriver is a good start but I've made them from a length of black pipe of the proper diameter with the pins filed to shape. These were used to remove nuts that hold old windshield wiper pivots.
Prior to removal attempts,I would soak the area with a good rust penetrant(trying not to involve the leather too much)for a day or so and then try to turn the nut in a tightening direction(clockwise)just SLIGHTLY to,"break"the connection between the two metals.Caution is urged here.I find that this procedure works extremely well when trying to separate steel and aluminum(such as removing spark plugs from an aluminum cylinder head).
