SCHRADE - Giant Knife - SC5 SM2011
Picked up at a local auction. Unable to find any info on it. What is the purpose of the size? What is it worth?

Don't know anything about it but I can see why you bought it.

It's made in China by Taylor (who owns the Schrade name and trademarks) - that will help you determine it's worth. Very large knives are made for the interest factor (people just think they are cool) and for display in knife shops and cutlery departments. Mostly, like anything, they are made to sell and make money for the manufacturer. For the sake of posterity you might want a Forum Mod to move it to the Schrade Legacy or the Chinese Factory sub-forums for you. OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

We don't want it here on the Schrade sub-forum. This forum is only about pre-2004 Schrade knives and their cousins, such as Imperial, and an occasional George Schrade or Camillus. Take it to Chinese, please, if a moderator is looking.
