Latest purchases

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Latest purchases

Post by 00p225 »

I'm new to the forum, and just decided to start collecting Schrade USA knives like I had in high school. I originally had an Uncle Henry 897uh that I bought in 1984, and lost while bailing on the farm. I replaced it with an Old Timer 34ot around 1996. I lost it for a couple years, then found it in the dirt by one of our gates a couple years later! Still have it, but took some time to free and clean up. I have bought mint examples of those, but recently purchased these fine examples. So addictive!

Welcome to AAPK. Glad to have you aboard. Grab a rack, stow your gear and get to posting.

You've chosen a popular brand to collect so there's plenty of choices around. Have at it.

Welcome to the forum!

Good choice for a collecting avenue...

My favorites are Old Timers and Uncle Henrys too!

The American made Schrades are nice knives! But I may be a bit biased in my opinion.

Welcome

American Schrades are a good buy for the money. Lots of them on eBay
and other places so your collection can easily grow without robbing the bank.
