Allan Case Cutlery Co. History?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Allan Case Cutlery Co. History?

Post by AGDO »

AGDO here. Howdy! I have an old sheath knife with a poorly stamped tang that reads Allan Case Cut. Co, Little Valley. Never heard of Allan or his cullery. Please give me info, as I am attempting to sell it and want to provide an accurate description. Thanks in advance, Roger.

Please post a good photo of the mark and the whole knife. Are you sure it isn't Jean Case? By the way Jean Case marked knives are just a brand name used by Kinfolks, Jean Case did not make knives, and I agree, no Allen Case in Little Valley.

Closer look. Yes, It is Jean. The stamp is so off centered, it looked like Allan to me. So thanks very much. If there is more you want to tell me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Roger.

I can't really tell you more about the knife without seeing a photo, photos are really worth a thousand words and everybody here loves photos. The only thing I can add is that it is likely a pre 1950 knife, but a photo would give a better idea.
