Looks like good action, and some great pics. I could watch stuff like that. Love watching loading and switching yards, spent many hour as a kid filling in my day at the rail yards.

Awesome, I thought maybe so. It is a rare occasion when one of those show up around my area, it happens, but not often. That was a good capture!

I was happy to come across this UP coal train rumbling along the snow covered fields under an azure sky. I was doubly happy when the end rolled around and one of the rear locos was an old Southern Pacific, still sporting the old paint scheme with a UP patch. The Southern Pacific ceased to exist after 1996, I was quite surprised to see a unit that had not been repainted. According to Wikipedia, only 10 or less still exist. This one has the "bloody nose" paint scheme.

Awesome Winter shots, Ike. ::tu::

I picked up a trestle set and incorporated it into the layout. It was pretty tricky trying to get everything to fit correctly. ::nod::

My FIL and I both love Hogan's Heroes and we slide it in here and there when we're visiting. Like if we're having a BBQ and my hot dog isn't grilled enough, I might say something in my best General Burkhalter like "Well....I see my food isn't quite grilled the way I like it. Maybe you'd do better thawing out hot dogs...ON THE RUSSIAN FRONT!" ::rotflol::
