Case xx 1992 discontinued style. Lockback pocket knife

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Post by XNT44X »

Hello I recently purchase a Case XX USA 1992 Discontinued Pattern India Stag #51405L SS Lock Back knife. I’ve read online they are rare and can sell for a lot of money
But I’ve yet to find proof of this. Can anyone help me learn more about this knife and possibly
A rough estimate of worth

I just did a search for you on ebay of completed auctions and it looks like you got a good deal. Three have sold recently for $53.95, $70.96, and $86. In the future, just go on ebay, click on "advanced", put in the title of what you want to search for, and select completed auctions. Here is a link to the search I just did.

I would say the value of this one is zero.
It's a Frost with a broken backspring.

And not worth fixing either.

Glad you explained that, because that first picture was confusing the ¢®@p out of me. I kept thinking, how could this design be functional??? ::doh::

I really like the blade on the single-blade Case knife shown. As far as I can find, the only model Case that offers that clip blade is a black or camo zytel lockback from their Caliber series. Wish they would re-issue this blade in a regular frame.
