Tom I have seen these on Ebay and wondered about the quality of those? They certainly look great.
If you have seen them on eBay too then they are probably from China.
Anyways, sorry, I keep going on & on.

Yah thanks Willie, both are big heavy knives, but that's how I like my knives, the weight makes them feel quite substantial in my hand!Steamboat Willie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 4:15 amThanks fellas! Yea Marco, the micarta sold it for me. I’m pretty excited about it.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Just received this 1978 Case 6383. I collect knives from 1978 as it was the year I graduated High School, and had really gotten into collecting.
This one is just like I like them, great snap on all blades, no wobble at all, no cracks, full blades, but some wear and patina. I cleaned it up just
a bit, and gave it a good oiling. I love a good "Case Queen" (pun intended) as much as the next guy, but then I never carry them, so this one is
just right. In the pocket it goes! And, I actually got what I think was a pretty good deal considering how much these have gone up. Another bonus
is that it's bone, as a lot of the knives in '78 were delrin.

You're so right SW. I have looked for a while. They are either perfect and too dang expensive, or beyond help and too dang expensive!Steamboat Willie wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 6:48 pmwe’ll done on the Case, TMK! So hard to find in that condition!
I lucked out on this one. It still wasn't cheap, but it was worth it to me..

Just have a weakness for those Ka-bar folders….
You have to be trusted by the people that lie to you. So that when they turn their backs on you, You'll get the chance to put the knife in….

I purged a bunch of random knives about 10 years ago, Marco. I made a conscience effort to focus my collecting, so you're right. I still have a few "just because" knives. You know, "just because" I can! Ha!Madmarco wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 10:31 pmNice Case Kerry!toomanyknives wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 6:37 pm Just received this 1978 Case 6383. IMG_2065 (3).JPGIMG_2066 (2).JPGIMG_2068 (2).JPGYou are very specific with your collecting methods and as a result you wind up with exactly the models you like the most, and not a bunch of "accumulated" models. Wish I was like that, but as you know, my collection is a potpourri of all sorts of models, not that I'm complaining, but a bit more selective on my part would have been nice! Oh well, ya gotta work with what ya got!

I like that D'legg! I met Tony at a couple of Blade Shows here in Atlanta. He was always very kind, and what a talent.
