A very interesting article but it doesn't come anywhere close to answering my question "what is beyond, beyond". (I don't think there is an answer.)Unk wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 11:14 pmJerry, I guess man has pondered what is beyond the night sky as long as man has existed. On that note, ever wonder what's beyond, beyond? Our planet is in the solar system, the solar system is in the Universe, there are multiple Universes, what are they in. What's beyond the entity that makes up the Universes and for that matter what's beyond that? Is it possible for this amalgamation to be infinite. I can't wrap my small mind around that concept.
Just one of those things that make you go, huh?

Our 12 year old granddaughter took this picture today and showed it to me. I know I’m biased, but I think it’s pretty good. The barn is on our place, it’s over 100 years old. Can’t decide if I like the color version or B&W best.

Great picture! Something about those B/W (is it called sepia?) pictures of old structures make them stand out. A certain 12-year-old might be on the path to a special career.
Tell her congratulations on her great picture.

Both photos work well. Normally B&W is especially good on old structures like your barn. In this particular example, however, I will make an exception. I find the soft golden lighting evokes a lovely, gentle atmosphere.

Ken,
D) All of the above
I hope you'll share these comments with your granddaughter in hopes it will encourage her to continue with photography. That shot is worthy of being a framed print, color OR black and white!

Both pictures of the barn are very nice Ken but I'll have to agree with Garry, the golden colors really give it that special "warm" touch.Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Fri Dec 24, 2021 3:55 am Our 12 year old granddaughter took this picture today and showed it to me. Re: Pictures of Miscellaneous Stuff & Things
Thanks for the kind comments about the barn pictures. I read them to my granddaughter. I think she was a little embarrassed but proud also. I'd like to see about getting it enlarged and framed but it may not be possible as the picture was taken with her phone. Which is an older hand-me-down iPhone 6 (not connected to cellular or the internet either) that she uses to take pictures and play a few games her dad put on it for her. I'm not sure if the camera resolution is good enough but will find out.

Upload the photos to a computer and then print or take them to Walgreens or CVS and upload them for enlargement and print.

I've been using Photoscape for years. It takes some getting used to and can be challenging to download but it's FREE and very powerful for a FREE app.
