That's a beautiful knife Tom!TPK wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 6:22 am Recieved this single blade traditonal folder earlier this week. I'm gonna give I-Man a compliment here. When I first saw it on the bay I thought, "Man that's nice! Looks like something I-Man would carry."![]()

Anyways, it is 3 5/8" long & Stamped only with Solingen Germany. It has a large spear blade, slightly swelled center, brown bone handles,a Sheriff Shield (can't ever remember shield names) & a long pull. It's NOS but unfortunately it had never seen a drop of oil in it's life which I guess is why it had some light pitting down inside the long pull. Most of which I could remove with some oil, a paper towel & a tooth pic. Other than that, it's a real keeper and I have decided to make it an EDC starting today.

Well..., to tell ya the truth, I believe this one is a single blade in a double blade frame.Madmarco wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 7:10 pmThat's a beautiful knife Tom!TPK wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 6:22 am Recieved this single blade traditonal folder earlier this week. One usually sees this style knife with at least 2 blades, but the single spear on your knife really makes it special! Congratulations, I WANT ONE! LOL!

Yep, I see what you mean Tom! I assume the previous owner had it modified down to a single blade which IMHO was the right choice! It's pretty cool when we stop and think about what we knew about folding knives just a couple of short years ago and what we know today, and it sure seems like we've come along way! Thx for the additional pics!

Nice David, that is one of the best looking knives I’ve handled, easily in the top 20. The stag Boothill is now spoken for by another member. It’s gorgeous too. But I love wooden covers and Chinese Quince burl wood is the top of the list for me when it comes to wooden handles. What a great shaped knife. I’m surprised there aren’t more knives made in that shape, it would certainly be popular.
Q, you have some great knives there. The mod by MM is really nice. I have a MM mod that I carry and I love it. That black T.A. Davidson is the show stopper, man I love that knife.

Well...here it is at last...modified as planned (by muskrat man) with smooth white/natural bone and red spacer. Also had the sheepsfoot blade modded into a Wharncliffe. Now, it's exactly what I had imagined when I bought it, and exactly what I wanted.![]()

Sorry, cudgee, I considered many different types of wood, but bone just seemed like the way to go on this one. Personally, I think it's a huge improvement over the original. Now, I think it looks kind of like a GEC Boy's Knife (same size but, of course, much, much less expensive...and it's a Wharncliffe, so even better, IMHO!)
Muskrat Man did you right on that one! Love the lanyard hole too!

It's not a knife, but a blade opener or pull, whatever the correct term is.
It's a CASE 1889-1989 Centennial.

Picked up a nice little Imperia Diamond Edge 353 stockman. Still has the blade etching and doesn't look like its seen much use. Seems like a well made knife.

A G Russell calls those "Steel Thumbnails" David! They sure save on broken fingernails, and they're also used for popping the tops off of tubes that some knives are shipped in, think GEC!

This Camillus Sears High Carbon came today. The bones are nice. It’s a first gen with nickel silver liners and the center liner is coined. The master blade has been reprofiled. Not bad for 35 dollars!
