Happy birthday regardless, or at least I hope you had a happy one.

Case Tec-X's (or whatever they call them) have been around for several years, and apparently their Harley Davidson ones sell well.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

I was looking at this item on eBay and it gives a clear indication that Zippo also has a working relationship with Chinese manufacturers. I'm not sure, but I think maybe Zippo / Supreme lighters are kind of what they want to call a global product. Caveat Emptor.

Case introduced the made-in-China TecX line about 10 years ago. Much to the dismay of many. However they committed at the time to continue manufacturing the rest of their products in Bradford, PA and so far at least have remained true to that promise.hddarts wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 1:21 pm It was a sad day for me,I was just surfing the internet lookin at different knives and I saw my first case xx madei in china knife I thought that they were the last major player that would switch to the other team. Although I understand why they offer a lower cost point knife, many (including me) believe it was a mistake, because it proliferated a bunch of "chicken little" reaction. 10 years later there are still posts either speculating or outright saying Case has moved all their production to China, or the move is immanent. I've even seen posts picturing a TecX example saying it's proof.
Maybe some day Case will go the way of Queen and others but at this point they seem to be succeeding with a business model as primarily a maker of "collectables". A model now being emulated by many others. Not my thing but seems to appeal to many.
