Case xx lock blade sodbuster

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I don't know why Case doesn't reintroduce this pattern. Rough Ryder produces what I would call a very close copy (I replaced mine with a Sodbuster Jr. and a Mercator, as after less than a year of regular use, I noticed some wobble), and other companies like Boker, Herder, Bear and Son, and I want to say Queen have done lockback versions.

Big knives see a lot harder use, so to me, the blade should lock. In many ways, I prefer a large folder instead of fiddling with a fixed blade on my belt.

They’re the same, just a slightly different version used on different patterns. Same year. Depending on the blade some have more room for lettering than others.
