Miss Joy was supposed to be on light duty yesterday but she chose to clean and rearrange closets. Look what showed up, among other things! :)
A box with some .243, 30-06, .22 LR, two boxes of 50 and one carton of 500, .22 shot shells, a box of .357 mag, a few 20ga shells, a box of .410 shells and a bunch of empty brass. Felt like Christmas morning, there were also several knives in another place.
A box of goodies!

A family of Spotted Geckos has taken up residence in my bedroom and recently hatched a clutch of babies. They are very cute and also very skittish.

However, they're not quite so cute when one crawls into your open soda can and then you take a big swig only to gag on a dead baby gecko. ::barf:: (True story ::nod:: ) And...no...they do not taste like chicken!

This one was on "screen duty" this morning (screens are a productive 'hunting ground' for gnats, mosquitoes, moths & flies).

Took a drive down to Letchworth State Park Sunday. Weather ranged from sleet to sunshine. Fall colors aren't at peak yet but got some great pictures of the gorge and the Genesee River. They call this the Little Grand Canyon.

Salmon are running in the creek at the back of my property. Fisrt time since I've lived here that I've seen them get this far up from Lake Ontario. Takes a lot of determination and they have to spend some time half out of the water to negotiate these shallows.

Great photos, Wayne ::tu:: . They bring back a lot of fun memories from the years I lived in upstate NY. My high school buddies and I loved going to Letchworth...it was one of our favorite day trips to take girls for a picnic and hiking (also drinking Genesee beer and "getting lost" in the woods)

I had one of those beautifully constructed giant webbs stretched between a tree and our barn a few days ago. It disappeared now.

There must be some special Oak trees down in the creek bottom where this buck was harvested That area seems to produce 3 or 4 like this every year, they must be feeding on "magic" acorns. ::shrug::

I took the dog for a late evening swim and was admiring the icy looking clouds. The chilly wind and the look of the sky made me think snow, then I thought naaahhhh! Driving about an hour later and I see the first flakes of the season coming down.....ready or not!!
