If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Super dry and hot, things wont start changing till it cools off. Still summer weather here, really hoping for a shower soon (Canola needs it bad).
We'll see what happens next week...
You can have some of ours, we have rain forecast to start tonight and last for 3 days, the grain farmers that are having a bumper season don't need it this close to the start of harvest.
Yup mate, life of farming...
Have 1 quarter section of Canola here at home. The swaths are so heavy material wise, that the wind can't get through, and dry out the bottom/center. And because no shower to pull out the greens, we have to sit and wait. But, we also have a swathed Oat field right next to it; we don't need to rain for that...

Cudgee, that's a lot of cheeseburgers. :D

My wife bought a milkweed plant earlier this year, and we walked into the back yard to find it covered in Monarch caterpillars one morning a few weeks ago. It was interesting to watch this life cycle play out on out patio.

Cudgee, I don't know that much about cattle and I immediately thought Charolais when I saw that photo. It is the only breed of white cattle with which I am familiar. I then read of an old breed, British White, which is raised in Australia, is that what those would be? Nice picture, by the way and put me down for one of those cheeseburgers.

They would be Braham's, more grey than white, but look white in the photo. ::tu::

I'm thinking you fellows up north deserve the beautiful colors since you have to endure challenging winters. So far, in my neighborhood the colors are monochrome.

Very nice shots, Garry, very peaceful and serene. I especially like that 2nd photo with the dirt road, it makes me want to start whistling the Andy Griffith Show theme.

That is a fine looking pack of dogs Cudgee. Do you use them for sheep, cattle, or?
