Got a big surprise when the left front wheel of the tractor sunk into a hole, where there has never been a hole before! The wheel and tire was completely in and the only thing preventing it from going in further was the axle. Had to use the front end loader on another tractor to lift it out of the hole.

Below that is a layer of what looks like flat limestone rocks stacked a few feet thick, and under that can be seen a smooth limestone wall. Can’t see into it enough to tell how big the hole is. There’s no water in the bottom that I can tell. As it is the existing hole is not large enough to get down into it - don’t think I want to anyway.

Bet that was a surprise Ken, just glad you weren't hurt. Hope the tractor is okay.

Don't know why but that's a very peaceful looking picture Ken.Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 2:00 am A good working dog is worth a fortune. And makes a loyal friend.![]()

John you're right it can be windy. It sets up on a rise in that area and on a clear day you can see the Decatur Court House 14 miles away because it sets on the highest elevation in the area.

Nice pictures, Phil, thanks for posting. Tom appears to be ignoring you, I think he was distracted by your wife!

Tom did apparently have an eye for the ladies.
