The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Gary, those are great! I love the greenbone.
I don’t have many Case fixed blades. Do these count?

You KNOW that they count!
Well, they’re not exactly “fixed”.
But thanks Cal!

Here is my Case 557SAB (1940-1965) with a Knight's Head pommel. It is a small fixed blade with sheath and made after 1949. It is 7" overall and has a 3 3/4 Fuller blade with stag handles. I bought this knife about 1970 at a close out sale in northeast Los Angeles and it has been a safe queen ever since.
