I notice the nail nick on your clip blade is positioned farther back along the spine than mine. What year is yours? Mine’s a 91.

I (insert drum roll) slit open an envelope! I'm sure I could have done it better with an instant deploy, spring-loaded, super steel "tactical" knife but my little old Vic Recruit managed the job.

I wish they still made it in Alox (known officially back then as the Cadet II which has not been produced since sometime way back in the '70s), but I'm a big fan of the Recruit. Lightweight and slim due to having no tools on the back, and the pen blade, in my opinion, is more valuable than the Cadet's nail file.

I used the spay blade of a Case trapper to slice a big ole home grown tomato. ::drool::

I used the Kershaw to cut the belt off a junked swamp cooler motor I took off a roof and the Buck to cut open an orange.

I put a strap on my sheath for my fixed blade. I made the sheath a few years ago and the knife was pretty secure before, but now if I take a tumble on the trail there is less chance of it coming out.

Cut up some onions, garlic, mushrooms, jalapeños and spinach and sliced sum Vermont extra sharp cheddar cheese for a big Joe scramble, umm umm good. ::handshake::
