I am not sure exactly, I am going to do some research.
I am getting my # 701 ready for my EDC tomorrow... inspired by you... S.B.W.Steamboat Willie wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 5:59 pm My yard sale 701 assisted me with some late morning snacking on the job site.
I’m sure you’ll enjoy toting that as much as I’m enjoying mine!

I notice the nail nick on your clip blade is positioned farther back along the spine than mine. What year is yours? Mine’s a 91.
I wish they still made it in Alox (known officially back then as the Cadet II which has not been produced since sometime way back in the '70s), but I'm a big fan of the Recruit. Lightweight and slim due to having no tools on the back, and the pen blade, in my opinion, is more valuable than the Cadet's nail file.marinaio61 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 1:54 pm I (insert drum roll) slit open an envelope! I'm sure I could have done it better with an instant deploy, spring-loaded, super steel "tactical" knife but my little old Vic Recruit managed the job.
Well S.B.W. I am always afraid to fall in deep water...
