stockman spey blade question
stockman spey blade question
Evening folks, Did spey blades have different grinds? I have a '81 6347 with the "for flesh only" etch and an '78 that doesn't have it. Any ideas?

Re: stockman spey blade question
As the 1970s progressed it seems the etch became more hit and miss depending on the pattern, especially the 087. Some time in the 1980s, around 1983 or thereabouts they discontinued it totally on all patterns.
The presence or lack of the etch has nothing to do with the blade grind.
