Was able to buy this Shapleigh B639 Moose Knife at an Antique Store in Arizona over the weekend. I would like to know who manufactured it. Schrade, Empire or another and approximately when it was made, I`m guessing 1920`s. High quality. Bone is perfect, knife still snaps. 4 1/4" long. It weighs 5 oz. Impressive to hold. Apparently folks from the St. Louis area retired and moved out here to Arizona and brought their old knives with them. Now I have them. There are more. I`ll be hunting for them. Thanks Mike.

What is going on with the master blade ? The large scooped out area looks too even to be from the piece breaking off. I have not seen a master blade like this before.
