Re: Ulster Collecting
Nice piece there Cooter , kind of like these old Knives .
Have a couple, both in very good shape ,tight and snappy. The lighter colored bone has a faint remnant of the Kingston etch on the main . Do believe these both to be Ulster, if anyone would feel otherwise am all ears, and would like to hear from you.
Take care ,stay warm .

My ULSTER 63's. It's easier to post a link to view them,
than to re-post them here.

Re: Ulster Collecting
I just got this one in my hands.
After cleaning the tang up a little I can see the number under the maker's name....
SO....
I can't seem to find any info on an Ulster 9500
About when was this one made?
I thought most Ulsters were 3 numbers. I am confused.
It is 3 1/4" long.
What do y'all think?

Re: Ulster Collecting
Picked up this lightly used Ulster Barlow, most with this bolster stamp had synthetic covers so it was nice to find one with bone.

Re: Ulster Collecting
Fished this one out of the bay. Nice little 2-7/8 inch tip bolster whittler with a wedge separating the back springs. Curious that only the small pen blade has a half stop. Goins’ says the stamp was used until 1941.

Wonderful old bones Ken. I guess there were more manual laborers back then so the need of finger nail hygiene.

Re: Ulster Collecting
Excellent old Ulster Knife Co. whittler. I like knives like this one that show old patina on the blades because you know they have never been altered.
