Got this one in the mail today to add to my Camillus Family. A Camillus 4 line tang stamp, Large Swell end Jack, with Jumbo Shield. It has Tip bolsters on the rear, with standard style bolsters on the front. It has metal liners with a brass blade separator. It has black composite handles and is 4-3/8 inch closed. The knife has been cleaned, but not a good job. The blade wells are dirty inside, and blades although having snap are sluggish and feel gritty when opening. I've already started doing the usual warm mineral oil bath, exercising the blades and a lot of black oil coming from between the springs and blades. Will let it soak overnight and do some cleaning tomorrow. From what I've been able to research, this one is pre 1940. Some of the other knife forums consensus is around 1938.

Postal person left this high price piece of jewelry in my box. Heh heh heh. I don't know whether to open a bottle of wine or cut glass, heh heh heh.

That's wild looking scale material there BH, what is that? And being a whale lover, I really like the tang stamp. Cool piece. And never seen a pocket knife yet with a glass cutter. Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllddddddddd. Thanks bud.

That is something you don't see anymore, a ruler that the actual measurement starts from the end of the ruler, and not in about an eight of an inch. Much easier to measure with. ::tu::

Very nice Mark! ::tu:: Just love the color of that knife! Also, congrats on the new William Henry you have in your store, ::handshake:: that one is simply spectacular! I've been watching W/H knives for about a year now, but the high prices have kept me at bay, but who knows, maybe someday! 8)

Typical to Glen he sent me the knife to look over to see if I for sure wanted it. I already knew I wanted it and it arrived on the 22nd. Seeing it in person is more wonderful than in pictures. After a Paypal exchange for a price I thought more than fair I am the proud holder of the knife. I have a couple from Herman Williams and this one compares well with them. Wow!!! Thanks Glen and thanks for sharing my excitement. Please excuse my poor pictures. ::handshake:: DSCN6920.JPGDSCN6921.JPGDSCN6922.JPGDSCN6923.JPG

Marco, Congratulations on your sleek pick-ups. The Al Mars may have been the best manufactured knives of their generation. I am not optimistic about the brand's move toChina. I have the QuickSilver with the bail/latch which covers the blade tip. But there are no numbers on my blade.

Thanks J.P.! The all-metal body is what attracted me to the Quicksilvers, but once I handled it, it's overall feel and appearance, was what got me. You are so correct, ::nod:: that knife would be right at home in your pocket! 8)
