Very nice pickup, Smitty! I love those equal end jacks. That one is a beaut!Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 1:38 am Received this one in the mail today, another addition to my Craftsman Family. A Craftsman 9522 Equal End Jack. It has the Craftsman Blade Etch with "Craftsman" having the long tail that underlines the entire word, and "Forged Steel" beneath with the pattern number to the right of the etch. This dates this to around 1948 as after 1948 Craftsman dropped the 9522 and replaced it with the 9466. As per the 1948 Sears Catalog, the 9522 has Chrome Vanadium blades, Plastic imitation Staged Handles, and Nickel Plated bolsters. The blades have good snap, have some of the original luster, the blade etch is still visible, but do have spotting. The handles have some minor shrinkage, but are not warped. The only thing I've done to it is oil the joints.

The only ones I've seen with a glass cutter is on AAPK. I've wanted one since I saw my first one. I also want one with the car key blade, cut or not cut, makes me no never mind. I think the glass cutter is more difficult to find. Ahhh wishful thinking.

Back on March 17th glennbad listed a knife that he had worked on under 863 in Stag. He did his usual wonderful job and wow was it beautiful. I dropped him a pm with my admiration for the knife and if he ever decided to part with it I would certainly be interested. Typical to Glen he sent me the knife to look over to see if I for sure wanted it. I already knew I wanted it and it arrived on the 22nd. Seeing it in person is more wonderful than in pictures. After a Paypal exchange for a price I thought more than fair I am the proud holder of the knife. I have a couple from Herman Williams and this one compares well with them. Wow!!! Thanks Glen and thanks for sharing my excitement. Please excuse my poor pictures.

Doglegg, that stag is some of the best I’ve ever seen.
Garry, that knife is just gorgeous.
I got in another Robeson by Queen. A Granddad Barlow with smooth red bone handles.
