Don't get me going on graffiti, nothing but vandalism of other peoples property, you see rakes of brand new carriages completely covered in it over here.

Re: Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?
Where do they get all of the spray paint??? This popped up last year (I think) and I'm pretty sure it's a legit picture of a U.P. diesel.
*Edit- I found a YouTube vid. Be careful where you park your train!

My, my, what a beautiful old beast. Is she a VR loco? What a great combination of power and engineering all in one package!
I have been looking at Australian railroad history, here are some pics I downloaded the other day.

A couple from Twitter. The Centipede is interesting, guess it was overpriced or underperformed, and the Aerotrain had comfortability issues.

Re: Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?
Yes, she is a VR loco and could haul big loads comfortably at over 60MPH, not bad for the era. For a country our size we had a excellent and innovative manufacturing industry. Have a good weekend.

Re: Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?
Interesting stuff, John. I knew of the Aerotrain, but not the Centipede. I read where they were all scrapped (centipedes). There is an Aerotrain at the transportation museum in St Louis, along with 70 other locomotives. I am going there as soon as it warms up, I will post pics.1967redrider wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:25 pm A couple from Twitter. Cool, Ike, looking forward to seeing your pictures. I'm going to drag Brenda to the B&O Museum in Baltimore sometime soon. Both of our fathers hired out with the B&O in Cumberland, that's how we met as kids in the early 70s.
