Yes it would look nice Steve! Wouldn't mind having one of those myself but that goes beyond my skills. You guys here are more than welcome to use poems of mine for stuff like that as long as my name is under it as the writer I don't mind at all. Actually, I'd be proud if someone ever did something like that but I won't hold my breath.

Edit: In fact, I could take my offer one step further. Anyone got a "special" knife picture they want a poem written about? Let me know and I'll give it a shot for ya.

Edit: I actually wrote two poems about Scott's knife. After I wrote the first one, I screwed up and deleated it. Then I had a senior moment and couldn't remember how it went. That ticked me off, so I wrote a better one.

"Kealakekua Bay"

Near my sunny,
Seaside home,
A beaten path,
I often roam,

Step by step,
Guiding me,
Through the forest,
To the sea,

Sea of blue,
Cliffs of brown,
Grey-white driftwood,
On the ground,

As the waves,
Come crashing in,
Sharp lava rocks,
They shift again,

Hear the seagulls,
Salty air,
Just the joy,
Of being there,

Where everything,
Feels so right,
Except for time,
Time in flight,

Like the sea,
That ebbs & flows,
I often wonder,
Where time goes,

Up the path,
My old friend,
Till at last,
We meet again.

You're right on the money with this statement...I have learned that; if you don't put your thoughts on paper right away, they will vanish, as if they were never there.

It's actually a pretty simple process. Just a matter of taking the photo into my photo program, add a 'text box' to the photo and copy & paste the poem into the text box. From there, I finesse and fine tweak the font size, color, placement, etc. On the bay photo, I used two different text boxes for better placement of Tom's poem. On the 'pathway' photo, I used four different text boxes...title, two column poem and the credit to Tom. It was easier to move things around for better placement on that one.
