Purple Haze 63032

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Purple Haze 63032

Post by toomanyknives »

Picked up a nice EDC today. It was a NOS from a local dealer. I love getting deals on 4 year old knives.
I'm really liking this 032 pattern Stockman. Not to big, not too small. I normally carry a 6318, which has
been a favorite for years. This 032 is giving it a run for the money. Anyone else like this pattern?

It looks really good. Is that about a 31/2"?

It's kind of been under my radar, Steve. I just really noticed it recently. I also bought a Buffalo horn version.
It impressed me, so I grabbed this one..

I have the 62032 (Texas Jack) and love it. Not too big, not too small. Rarely offered in anything but CV, which is rare for Case these days, as most of their offerings are Tru-Sharp, and for lower-end steels, carbon is better for toughness. Looking at getting the 63032 because it's a standard Stockman on the same frame.

Yep. This one is stainless, Cody. Would have been nice if it was CV... Texas Jacks are great!

Yep - I have a 32 in purple haze also. Thats one of my fave stockman patterns - just something about it - great EDC knife. What brought me to it was its one of the few reasonably sized stockmans to offer a clip blade...

::hmm:: I thought all stockmans have a clip blade??
Did I miss something?? ::shrug::
Referring, maybe, to the pen blade?

That's a nice one. I love 18's , but the clip on the 32 is a little more stout.

Without a spey blade, it ain’t a stockman. It’s a pen. ::facepalm:: ::stir::
