Marco and Iman, thank you so much for your comments. I'm very impressed with the quality of these Japanese knives. They would make for fine edc. The only drawback being that if they were going to receive frequent, heavy, use the scrim would eventually fade I presume.

I thought it might be fun to represent my two favorite websites today. And it was. These make a fine pair.

Picked up a Sodbuster Jr. today at Tractor Supply, and I'm really liking it. It's a smaller, and lightweight knife good for around the house; but also sturdy enough to do some hard work. I probably would have gotten a full-size one, but my store no longer offers it. I have a 1974 one that came in a used lot, but the backspring is broken. Do you think Case would fix it?

Peeled a lot of fruit and ate it, just to get a patina started.

That's just my cup of tea mate. Framed it perfectly I-man, both calendar shots, no joke.

Very nice Gary, especially love that blade design (reminds me of a scimitar).

Beautiful day in MT, the wife and I are taking our BMW Z3 for a drive today, roadster will go into hibernation this weekend. These two well made knives are with me,

Personal carrry that Claudio Sorbal made for me, along with a very nice 5392 10 dot.

I have an Irish-made Imperial that is identical to that Colonial Barlow. I have never seen another knife like that before. Checked eBay, and there's an National Rifle Association version of it (which my Imperial is), even with the same old-style NRA logo. Most seem to have been made for the NRA, it seems; which makes me wonder if they bought the tooling from Schrade.
