Carrying this 4 line Camillus EO and Hammer Brand. Really use the EO lot great feel and rides in pocket well, the Hammer is pre Imperial ,by N Y knife co. If I understand the stamp and history correctly. It’s a solid well built pocket knife.

Love that Scrimshaw!

I have that second one (NMS did a LOT of business around here), with the older marbled dark red handles that shrink (Celluloid?), but it's in really rough shape. Bought it here locally as a work knife, and use it as one. It replaced a two-blade Electrican my Granddad gave me as a kid (which I still have, but retired). They did do a Case one as well (logo etched on spear blade), which I guess they gave to thier better customers.
Thanks, cody6268! The old NMSCo knife you have sounds pretty awesome.

My own grandfather was a coal miner in southern West Virginia and carried numerous tools; the last work knife he used in the mines was a 1940s American Boker Congress with really worn-down blades. I carry it occasionally. I bought this Colonial just to honor him. And I have a really nice old Case 13031L but it doesn’t have the NMSCo logo.
My Granddad originally worked for a dye plant; and then the company closed the local plant; and transferred my Granddad to just outside Charlotte. That didn't last long, and my folks moved back after less than a year. After that, my Granddad worked for Pittston Coal Co's Jewell Ridge mine from 1974-1983, when he was laid off. From then on out, it was mostly sales and purchasing positions with two different smaller firms (one a guy who owned several mines; the other a company that sold and serviced mining equipment) until 1998 when he retired to help my grandmother raise me. And in those positions, he often did have to deliver parts and equipment to mines in Southern WV and Eastern Kentucky. Since COVID, I've been largely giving his old suppliers my business instead of Lowe's. Surprisingly, even with the ups and downs of the coal industry, most are still in business. And they also sell really good quality tools from Klein, Proto, and S&K. Not the store brand import stuff Lowe's does. Not to mention; at one of them, I got the normally $10 a piece China-made GE flourescent tube bulbs from Lowe's as US-made Sylvania for $2.50 each Tuesday.
Way to go, cody6268!

Moore Maker 3101LB 3 5/8" lockback by Bear and Son. It's my best put-together Bear, but there is still a burn towards the tip of the blade and a pretty ugly mark on the bottom of the back scale--obviously the people doing their sanding and grinding are pretty much greenhorns. At least these aren't like the typical issues of locks that don't work and wobble. It's far sturdier than my typical light-duty lockbacks; which typically are about this size and have lightweight Zytel frames; as it has steel liners and Delrin handles (not to mention pinned together, and not a molded frame), but not much heavier. Not to mention, one of the very few carbon steel lockblades on the market today.

Described as being horn. Yes, German eBay.

They have started to change the types of accepted payments on German eBay. ::undecided:: A few of the sellers that I have bought several knives from have already been hit by the change. ::facepalm:: Looks like I'll be forced into getting PayPal if I want to continue buying knives. ::doh:: I hate it when I am forced into anything. :x
The possative side effect would be that I could then shop in almost all the AAPK member's stores. ::hmm::
