I'm still pretty much carrying my no name Barlow and the single blade Kershaw.
Both are such good EDC knives and are perfect for any task that I might have.

Thanks for posting. I have been curious about that. ::hmm:: ::nod:: Have you ever noticed if a certain specific juice produces a certain specific color? ::shrug::
Exactly. Red grapes: purple/blue. Mustard and horseradish: black/gray. Apples and pears: brown/yellow. Pineapple: blue. Peas, carrots, beans: blue/red/ orange. Lime: black. Garlic: bluish. Onion: blue/gray. I could go on. But each substance does something a little different for color. That's the fun of experimenting and figuring out what colors comes from what.
Now that I-man, is some extreamly COOL information! ::nod:: Thanks for sharing that with me/us! ::handshake:: I have been wanting to try to put a patina on one of my knives just to try it out & see how I like it. What I didn't want was black or grey. Red, yellow, blue or purple would all be a cool color for me. ::nod:: Especially purple would be cool. If you ever wish to give us a complete list I'd love to have it and write it down for future reference! That would be awesome! But only if ya feel like it. No stress. ::handshake::

Thanks for the Info I-Man! ::handshake:: ::super_happy:: Now to figure out exactly which knife I wish to try it out on. ::hmm:: I guess this only works on Carbon blades right? ::shrug::

Have no complete list. Just cut whatever over the years and notice what colors appear. Fruits and veggies seem to color well. All an experiment, all a learning experience and can't go wrong. If you don't like the color, metal polish it off and start fresh. Yup, 1095 or CV or carbon steel. Stainless doesn't work like that.

Great looking EDCs, guys! ::tu::

Yesterday I left the house without picking up a pocket knife on my way out, felt like I forgot an arm or leg. This morning it is dumping rain, so Brenda asked if I'd drive to Dunkin for coffee at the one close by our house and bring her a Pumpkin Spice back before driving to work. Since I got going a little earlier than usual this morning I agreed.

Well, wouldn't you know it, I forgot to grab a pocket knife again! So en route I texted her to bring me a knife when she came out to get her Pumpkin Spice coffee. There are probably a dozen on the table for her to choose from, she just happened to choose the one Tom sent from Germany. So it's today's EDC, and I was very pleased to see it when she handed it to me.

I just hope it doesn't mean she fancies this knife for herself! ::mdm::

And can Pop Tarts put patina on a blade?
Do the different flavors each produce a different color patina? 🤔

That would actually be cool, an easier method of anodizing! ::tu::

Today’s carry are these two: Schrade SC507 and a new Colonial National Mine Service Co. electrician’s knife.
