Now that I-man, is some extreamly COOL information!Ivoryman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 6:25 amExactly. Red grapes: purple/blue. Mustard and horseradish: black/gray. Apples and pears: brown/yellow. Pineapple: blue. Peas, carrots, beans: blue/red/ orange. Lime: black. Garlic: bluish. Onion: blue/gray. I could go on. But each substance does something a little different for color. That's the fun of experimenting and figuring out what colors comes from what.

I have been wanting to try to put a patina on one of my knives just to try it out & see how I like it. What I didn't want was black or grey. Red, yellow, blue or purple would all be a cool color for me.
Especially purple would be cool. If you ever wish to give us a complete list I'd love to have it and write it down for future reference! That would be awesome! But only if ya feel like it. No stress.

Thanks for the Info I-Man!![]()
Now to figure out exactly which knife I wish to try it out on.
I guess this only works on Carbon blades right?

Do the different flavors each produce a different color patina?
