Re: 6235 1/2 with high pull?
High Pull is usually associated With Nail Nick Before the start of the clip on the the Master Blade Not Below ,Not a High Pull .Very Nice Jack However

Re: 6235 1/2 with high pull?
So, researching further, it appears I got my "low" and "high" reversed. This 6235 1/2 would be a low pull. Again, the first I've ever run across on a 6235 1/2 pattern. Anyone else ever seen one? Another thing different about this knife is the master clip blade is positioned behind the secondary blade. Again, pretty uncommon in my opinion.

Sorry, but I can only add to the mystery.
Looking at my copy of Steve Pfeiffer's book "Collecting Case Pocket Knives", all the 35s he shows have the main blade (clip in this case) in front of the pen blade, not behind as is yours.

Re: 6235 1/2 with low pull?
I spotted this 65-69 model online with the following information:
"You'll note from the photo's that the Clip Master Blade is positioned as blade number 2 (behind the Pen Blade when viewed from the front Shield side). Beside this, the clip also has a Low Nail Pull which was not common-place, or Regular, on this model."

Some 35 patterns were probably made by Imperial Schrade according to "Collecting Case Knives 2nd Edition".

He was saying the Case stamped knives were the same as the Kingston stamped knives. That is why he thinks the Case were made by Imperial Schrade. The one I posted is stamped Case XX, but probably made by Imperial Schrade.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 10:25 pmBut according to Steve, he believes it was the ones stamped KINGSTON USA.

Re: 6235 1/2 with low pull?
Regarding the OP knife, yes many were made that way in the XX and USA eras. Also many 62009 1/2 barlows were made that way. I have no idea why...evidently Case has two sets of tooling for these patterns.
Re: 6235 1/2 with low pull?
I have several in that configuration, seems like most I have seen are in the USA era. Attached pic shows two as described on the right, both USA, and the XX on the left has the clip up front but still the low pull. Could be a devious plan to confuse us or could be a way to clean up excess parts...we may NEVER know...

Thank you all for the input. Sure wish I knew what percentage were low pull knives. Has to be a small percentage I would think.
