I'm not knocking their quality at all, even though some of my friends and I do enjoy ribbing each other over the Glock v. 1911 thing.Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 3:30 pm When I decided several years ago to move from a 1911 to a polymer pistol for EDC, I drove an hour to a range that has a wide variety of rentals available. In fact it’s hard to find a popular handgun they don’t have. On recommendations from a couple of LEO friends and my son, I was inclined toward a Glock when I started. My son is also big on H&K and Sig.
After two trips to that range, and several hundred rounds through a dozen different handguns including a couple of revolvers, the biggest thing I learned is I can’t hit the proverbial broad side of a barn with a Glock.Great pistols obviously, but something about them, I think it’s the grip angle, just doesn’t work for me.

A couple of friends of mine who love 1911's and hate Glocks have really become enamored with the Sig p320. I need to go handle one of them.
Wade I'd suggest you take a look at the CZ P 10-C if you're interested in a great striker fired polymer pistol. With your big paws you might even like the full size version, the CZ P 10-F.
