In reference to your "brown sugar swirl" Granton midget that you also posted on April 11,2019, I have the identical handle material on my 3 blade "Ford & Medly EMU" Sheffield England - 1872-1930. (Wharncliffe master blade)
Not a Ring opener though. Quit bizarre. I've never seen this color handle material like mine before viewing yours.
I'm wondering if your 'Granton' is related to 'Ford & Medly EMU' ?

Not sure on the relation (Could not google any relationship... I kind of doubt it) However, many times one company actually made many 'Brands' knives for them (stamping their requested mark on their personal product, ie: knives) I wouldn't doubt if this handle material was a 'choice' of new materials offered to many makers... Again, I am guessing here.

i collect 3" Joseph Rodgers knives - needed some sort of specification to limit myself

and this one will hopefully fit the collection perfectly

Great score corso! I have a few of the Rodgers ring turns. I like their tang stampings... Good luck! I have not taken any of mine apart. I have had one or two refurbished by a knife repair guy. They seem pretty simple.

I was hoping to find out what the blade hole looks like I assume it has a slot in it to accommodate the ring mechanism?

I've a couple of old blades from standard slip joint knives and fancied trying a frankenringturn

I just made up the scale name "brown sugar swirl" for I have never seen one before. Than, bronze4u posted his near identical colored handle on his "ring turner" knife.

Thanks, doglegg! I won’t know if it’s the real deal, until it arrives? Wondering though! Interesting that it’s not all cracked up like celluloid does. Even with the gouges and carving... though I’m doubtful that Humphreys Radiant used real shell. Thanks
