Great reel OH! ::tu:: :D

I just picked up my first Hartkopf Solingen. Don't know the length of it but it does look like it has Ebony handles. If so, then these are another first for me. Maybe one of you can say if it appears to be Ebony? It's used but it seems to be in pretty good condition & the price was right. ::tu::

I'm going to EDC this one so I'm considering ::hmm:: having "TOM" engraved in the "shield" that's on the side. What do you guys think of me doing that? ::shrug:: Maybe one of my kids would like that after I'm gone. ::hmm:: Cool idea? Or a Mistake? ::shrug::

There were no pictures of the whole knife on one picture. ::dang:: Here are the best pictures the seller posted. More pictures in a week or so when it shows up. Thanks for looking! ::handshake::
Oval shields, in my opinon, are just asking to be engraved.

I've got a Schrade/Craftsman with a small brass engraving panel (even smaller than that on yours) I recently bought; and since it really isn't much of a collectible, I am having my name or initials (of course, given they are "CBS"; look for me to lose it; and then someone sell it as an advertising knife) engraved on that panel when I go to my jeweler to get some work done on a couple of my watches.

::hmm:: Initials is also a good idea. TWD or T.W.D. Heck that's a good idea for you with the "advertising knife". Your initials on old knives could be a real seller. :lol: Of course you could always throw in some periods. C.B.S. :D

A few moments ago, this worn, but still with alot of character, Geo Schrade, single blade, wire jack pocket knife, joined my collection. When it arrives, it is definitely going to receive a cleaning. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

I bet that one would clean up really nice if you put some elbow grease into it. ::tu:: I'll be watching to see how much rust & crud you decide to remove from it Skip. Just to look & learn from a Profi. Some before & after pics would be nice. :D Nice find by the way! ::tu::

I bought a couple of these for very little money with the intention of using them as potential give aways. Purchased on 4-17.

Bought this LF&C Jackknife on Monday from Cosgrove Cutlery (AAPK Stores), should be here by Saturday. It’ll join my fledgling collection of Hardware Distributor pocketknives. OH

I purchased this knife this morning, another Camillus 72 variation. It's a SCHRADE WALDEN, 3 blade, swelled center, CRAFTSMAN "whittler" pocket knife. My first SCHRADE WALDEN tang stamp for this model of knife. It is a "9494" even without it being stamped as such. It appears to be in very nice condition. I'll check it out when it arrives and do any cleaning that might be necessary. Pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s).

Skip, I have one exactly like that one but with no shield. I assumed it would be a Schrade shield but now I don't know. Maybe should be craftsman. Wonder if Schrade made any of those red ones with their shield? ::shrug::

Floyd, when it comes to pocket knives, especially Camillus, Schrade, Ulster, etc., nothing would surprise me. ::shrug::

Tommy, I don't know if you were asking me or asking Floyd. If you were asking me, I have 19, Camillus 72 pocket knives. I have 65, Camillus 72 variation/clone pocket knives, including the one in the mail.

**** EDIT *****
I just bought another Craftsman 9494. So, I now have 66 variations/clones.

Tommy, you didn't ask me but it's just a handful shy of 100. Some have gone to live someplace else so over a hundred have come through the door but a few of those have passed on.
