All of the Case Pocket Worn colors
All of the Case Pocket Worn colors
Among the first knives I bought when I started down this mutual obsession of ours was a blue Case 6318 stockman. Turned out that it was a 2016 Denim Pocket Worn and the start of one of my focused accumulations - Case Pocket Worn stockman.
I decided that I wanted to gather together all of the different colors of bone that Pocket Worns were released. I have accomplished, or to the best of my knowledge and research findings I have accomplished the goal. After a recent aquisition from Old Hunter here on AAPK I also have all but one of the different patterns of stockman released in the Pocket Worn lineup over the years. I could have sworn I had one of each pattern but When I took them out for a picture today I am missing the Humpback pattern, this was remedied with a little online shopping today and a picture of it will be added when it arrives. The Humpback is not of a color that I do not have so I am going to go ahead as the point of this post is all the colors.
Click the picture to enlarge for a better view. In the picture below this list I have numbered them for easier identification.
Apologies for not putting them in order by year.
And yes there are a few duplicate colors when there were different pattern stockmans within a release. Typing all this up I realize I should have limited this to one of each color but I hope you'll forgive my poor planning.
Also if you are new to the Pocket Worn line you should know that Case repeats some colors years apart.
If you should see a mistake or know of a PW color I haven't listed I would be very glad for you to share your knowledge.

Note 1 - The early Antique bone PW were not listed in any catalog I have seen but both of them in my collection were purchased in sealed PW tins and were labeled as Antq.
Note 2 - The Natural bone is listed in the regular case catalog for its year but even though the description Case gives is almost verbatim to the Pocket Worn knives it is not identified as such in the catalog. After examining one for myself and having the original box that it was in I have added it here to the group for two reasons. 1 - The hafting is near identical to that on PW knives. 2 - The box has PW on the printed factory affixed label, something I have yet to see on none PW knife boxes. Because the box is green I find the label and hafting to be compelling reason to add it to the lineup.
Note 3 - The Navy Blue bone is not in any of the catalogs from 1999 or 2000 that I have. But all three of the 1999 dated Navy Blue PW's I own came properly labeled in the denim and brown PW boxes

Re: All of the Case Pocket Worn colors
Goodness, I really had no idea! Great collection (and great theme for a collection). One of the first Case Pocketworn knives I bought was from an AAPK store (from “Jethro Bodine”) when I joined here, it was this 6347 from 1998. It has been a regular user / EDC pocketknife for me from the beginning. I don’t remember if I kept the box, but I have always called this knife OD Green - not a color name that Case would use I’m sure - but it must have been PW Green. Enjoying viewing your collection and learning about PW history. Looking forward to seeing the in transit Humpback. Regards, OH

Another one I recently learned about is the 6327 pattern of a Small Stockman (penknife). It came in PW red bone back in 2012 - I bought this one six or eight months ago. OH

Very nice indeed. I would make that my screen saver if I were you. I would, but I already have a photo of many knives as my screen saver.
