Case, The White Knight, 062 of 300

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case, The White Knight, 062 of 300

I was looking for a value estimate on this Case Trapper. I saw one on worth point but values are blocked unless you are a member. It is 062 of 300. Than you.

If it was in a pawn shop I’d offer about $50 max. There are hundreds of Case trappers in “limited editions” from the 1980’s and 1990’s. They aren’t worth anymore than the value of the knife without the embellishment (unless you were a member of the White Knights, etc., and it has extra value to you for that reason). OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

Exactly correct. Here’s a recent thread asking the same question - just a different knife out of the hundreds of commemorative Trappers made by Case. viewtopic.php?f=66&t=65567

In my opinion, knives like the one posted are actually worth less than the same knife without embellishments. Unless of course, the particular embellishments have meanings to a prospective buyer.

Thanks all for the info, I agree some they try to make and market as "collectable" rarely are.

They’re collectable. They’re just not valuable. That’s not necessarily the same thing.
