So the W.G. Morley arrived. I just wanted to share something with you all. I have always used semi chrome polish to clean off any stubborn stains, on celluloid handles and so on. It usually works. However, this Morley had several dark stains that even the semi chrome would not remove. So, I used a piece of wet Mr. Clean eraser with semi chrome. It worked like a charm! If you haven’t ever used the Mr. Clean eraser product for cleaning. You should. They work miracles even on wall blems or marks.
Anyhow, here’s the Morley....

So I’ve seen these Molson’s Ale, as ring turn knives. Never one with an opener. I do have a British Sheffield rig-turn with an opener though. This one is in the mail on its way to my collection.

I now have two ring turns with openers as well. These are the only ones I have out of around 128 ring turns!

So, I have posted these Granton Midget 'Fruit knives' before (seperately) I thought id post them together, since I now have two. Hopefully I will find more.
Iv'e seen the one in images that had a faux tortoiseshell handle, that would be a prized one.

Morning here, So I have not posted in a while. I hope I find all of you safe, well and optimistic. So I just scored yet another cool ring opener! It is a Henckels with a corkscrew! The eagle crest is a gold leaf (I already have a small thin Henckels similar with the eagle's crest. I've never seen one exactly like this though. It looks to have never been used at all. Though some blade tarnishes and light rust here and there from setting. Again be well and safe my knife friends...

What a classy knife b4u, that eagle is finely detailed. I've never seen one with a corkscrew. A really attractive knife. The eagle makes me thing Germany?

Looks like the Reichsadler coat of arms from the second German Empire. 1888-1918. Knife doesn’t appear that old though.

Yes! Henckels.... German for sure doglegg. With German 'Screaming Eagle'

I have a few with bottle openers, but never have I seen a ring turn with a corkscrew!

The knife is old but most likely not that old. It is also known as the ‘Screeming Eagle’

Beauty Kirk ... No doubt one of my favorites in your collection ... As to the black plaque as you say - those age spots/stains are going to happen on old knives (mint or not) so for me not a show stopper at all... in fact very old knives that have no staining have been most likely cleaned to some extent - and this is info from a few very reputable collectors of old "Exhibition" knives of the 1800s...

Yes I know this to be the case. I was just now telling a friend the very same thing! Lol I have many ‘old knives’ and many have this. Including a collection of around 200 vintage straight razor. Many of them have it. I too prefer knives not polished up by sellers! Cheers
