Knives from my grandfathers collection

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Knives from my grandfathers collection

Post by Ncsporter86 »

So far this site has given me a lot of insight on what I have! I have lurked here a while and finally decided to join. I posted pictures of these in the general discussion and learned a lot. Someone commented and recommended that I post them in the case forum, seems you case guys like to stick around these parts!! 🤣

User “Gunsil” (I believe his name is Gene, and from his posts he has a gorgeous collection! And is very knowledgeable) has given me a lot of info on these.. I figured I would post these here as well.

The long story short is my grandfather purchased these as a kid and put them up and never used them. The two pictured are untouched and not sharpened!

Any info on them is appreciated as I am not up to date on knives the way I am on double guns!!
Thanks again!

There were many that were used, it seems that even at a young age in the 30's he knew which ones he wanted to admire vs use. His collection was well into the hundreds that he got over the years.. These are a couple that seem to be the most rare from what i am told
