A little Something For the Man-Cave
I just acquired this rare Case lamp. It was made in the 1950’s for sale to dealers for use as a lighted sign in window displays.
According to information presented in an article in the Case Collector’s Club newsletter in 1989 per long-time Case president RN Farquarson, only between 500 and 1,000 of these were made in the 1950’s. They were not popular with dealers due to the high cost.
I have a 1966 Case price list for sales aids, and the lamps are still listed as available, so they really must have been slow sellers.
This is only the second one of these that I have ever seen, other than in photos.
It has a bottom stand so that it can sit on a flat surface, also a chain attached to the back so that it could be hung in a store window.

Great find Steve!
We lost a lot of Case knowledge when Bob Farquharson passed. Not only that but he was a great gentleman.

Very nice find, Steve. I can imagine that sign in a display case with Case knives artfully arranged around it.

Great find and a great treasure Steve! I am sure that you can find the perfect spot for it in you man cave. If not, I will be happy to take it off your hands.

I was made in the 50’s too, we are old, although I don’t remember getting there.
