Knives from The Bill Price Collection

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Knives from The Bill Price Collection

Post by TheClasp »

Hi everyone! Here's a picture of some of my knives that I acquired from the one, the only: Mr. Bill Price. This kind-hearted Texan was nice enough to sell me some really gorgeous knives. The Mastodon Ivory clasp is a *very* rare knife due to the scarce "Case Brothers" shield, as well as the large "XX" deep-stamped into the center of the blade. The knife is engraved: "Prototype Mastodon Bark Ivory" on the back of the blade.
Bill really does a nice job keeping his knives in excellent condition, all of these are in Mint Condition. The CaseClassics Stag Bulldog has some of the nicest stag I have ever seen. I'm partial to this particular color, and the texture is nice and gnarly as you can probably see. Also I really dig how glossy this stag is. The green bone Bulldog is serialized on the bolster with the #29 in the famous Long Tailed "C" logo. This knife is not super rare, but on the other hand, it can be weeks and sometimes even months between Green Bone Bulldogs listed on that great-big auction site.
So Bill, if you ever find that you have any 72's that you don't have room in your home for... you know where to find me. As you well know, I'm running a Home For Un-Wanted Clasp Knives, so to speak. I hope everyone enjoys looking at these knives as much as I enjoy owning them!!
P.S. Don't forget when you click on the picture it opens up much larger.
